"Dear Hopers, past and present, teachers, parents, Friends of Good Hope,

We have just concluded the Diamond Jubilee of the foundation of Good Hope last year and inspired by the pageant “A Sparkle of God’s Dream”, we are now embarking on the big dream of revitalizing the Delia’s Wing.

Delia’s Wing, especially the Hall, an important arena for students’ integral development in the last three decades, is found to be too small to accommodate the school population of almost 1,500 persons. With the recent education reform that puts emphasis on STEAM education, more education space and facilities are needed and the only way to do so is to have a drastic development of Delia’s Wing so that her mission of facilitating the multi-intelligence of students can continue and further revitalized. It is a huge project that takes around 3 years to complete and the new wing is a blend new building of 4 floors (7 storeys). It contains an auditorium for performing arts, a multi-purpose hall for sports, rooms for visual arts, computer and robotic learnings, a lecture room and a small dormitory for student development. The prevalent concepts of green buildings, green cleaning and school gardens are also inbuilt in the construction.

We dare to dream big because we are convinced that the quality of school facilities can shape a student’s learning experience. It is also the findings of research that design of actual school facilities do have impact on learning outcome. Such a huge project funded only by the school without government subsidy, we have to appeal to the generosity of benefactors and friends; hence, we have this fund raising committee. In the next three years, we will have fundraising activities of various natures but all to give our students and staff an opportunity to demonstrate their talents and Good Hope Spirit. I hope you will arduously support our initiatives. In addition, we also would like to appeal to your generous contribution to making our dream of forming virtuous women leaders of tomorrow come true.

Please support the revitalization of Delia’s Wing for the immense benefits to learning it can bring."

"I am delighted to become part of the Good Hope mission that committed to nurturing equally talented yet unique students based on Catholic values, bringing love and hope to the world in joy and thanksgiving since its establishment.

Over the years, the School has matured into a proud home of many, breeding outstanding Good Hopers for our society who are capable to serve, and to make a difference. To carry on the School’s mission in face of new challenges, the redevelopment will see to accommodate modernised facilities that meet growing demands of the generations to come.

The revitalised Delia’s Wing will pronounce what the School and MIC Sisters have historically envisaged with a new face. The infrastructure is designed to enrich and stimulate students’ capacities in the scopes of academic, arts, athletics, and culture etc. And this adheres to the School’s commitment to provide students with opportunities in all dimensions.

A more responsive learning environment can be anticipated with the advent of upgraded facilities. These include a dormitory to serve student exchanges, and a Grand Auditorium furnished to cater for professional performances. These are significant additions that would serve as catalytic instruments to enhance students’ talents and competencies.

On a personal note, it is a true honour to be invited to join the committee. I enjoyed my long-standing friendship with Sister Olga, and was glad to know some distinguished Good Hopers throughout the years. I sincerely hope the transformation of Delia’s Wing will benefit the School’s mission to nurture students that bring hope to the world; and this would only be possible with your generous support.

We hope you will share our excitement, and hereby appeal to every current and past student, parent, teacher, and friend of Good Hope School to help us achieve the fundraising target, to empower future Good Hopers."
